I am spending my holidays this year in Egypt.
It is great coming back after 3 years from my last visit, things hasn’t changed that much.
The sunny weather, tasty food, and sociable people surround me at all times.
In the beginning of my trip, just days before Christmas, I noticed that internet was so incredibly slow.
Apparently, 3 submarine cables were accidentally damaged in the Mediterranean Sea.
This incident affected about 80% of the whole country’s capacity in internet communications.
Now, I can check and send emails again, however access is still spotty. It is expected to get back to normal beginning January. ( Ironically, the time I get back from vacation )
Regards and my best wishes for the holiday season.
