I have been asked numerous times about FTP programs. What FTP software do you use? Which one do your recommend? Is there a good free FTP package?
Actually, I installed Hummingbird FTP for Windows, however I use it very rarely. I use it only, if I have to transfer large files or file archives that are greater than 100 MB in size.
With smaller size files, I always use cPanel to upload files, software, or any other file transfer need.
Here are the steps I use to upload files without using FTP programs:
I came across a post by Andre Hector, where he lists 40 Free Blog Hosts that you can use, if you are not ready to pay for posting your blog.
He compiled a great list of resources that can get you started without spending any money.
Some of them I am sure you already have heard about like Google’s Blogger and Yahoo’s 360. The list goes on with a very brief description of each, and if you like to find out more, just click on the link to the service.
I’d like to point however that WordPress could be far better than Google’s Blogger or Yahoo’s 360 service, simply because you own your blog site.
I just read about a party to celebrate 5 years of WordPress in San Francisco.
With over 1 million downloads for versions 2.5 and 2.5.1 alone, I thought it was much older.
WordPress creators created flexibility, ease of use, and quality in the beginning, then the supporting community followed.
What a great success story…
I came to learn about it from my customer base. About a year ago, I noticed more and more hosting accounts using WordPress and asking me questions about it.
So, I starting learning more about it to provide better support.
Then, I thought of starting my blog to share experiences I have learned from supporting other site owners and promote my hosting service as well.
Now, I became a fan of WordPress myself and do whatever it takes to to resolve any issue.
Thank you all!

The short answer to your question is, YES, I do offer SSI at tdothost.com
Personally, I always prefer to do it in PHP, since most scripts that I use are written in PHP.
However, Frontpage and Dreamweaver allows you to easily build sites using SSI and many site owners prefer using it.

I just learnd about a new domain top level domain (TLD) that will be available for sale in the US with no restrictions starting July 17.
I found out about it from a pre-registration email that I received from Godaddy.
It seems that ICANN originally approved assigning the .ME domain to the country of Montenegro, which declared independence from Yugoslavia (.YU) in 2006.
